What is a Bioreactor?
A Bioreactor is a vessel or container which is used to hold organisms for the purpose of harnessing their natural biochemical processes.In other words a Bioreactor is a system that creates an artificial environment for photosynthetic organisms (algae) to perform a chemical conversion.
What is a good example of a Bioreactor?
A simple and well known example of a Bioreactor is a fermentation tank for beer, in which certain conditions are created, causing certain microorganisms to thrive, thus causing the contents within the tank to ferment, creating a usable end product.
